On Wednesday, October 11, we gathered in the cozy atmosphere of ŠKUC for a unique evening of literature, sound, and storytelling, where stories, poetry, and the voices of authors from the region intertwined. The event was part of the Slavic Soundwalking project, which connects literary creators from Slovenia, Croatia, and Serbia.
The evening began with literary interpretations of stories presented by outstanding authors: Aleksandra Orlić and Suzana Matić from Zagreb, Mirjana Narandžić, Patrik Lazić, and Aleksa Krstić from Belgrade, as well as Arjan Pregl and Veronika Simoniti from Ljubljana. Their stories took the audience on a journey through diverse landscapes and emotions, with the voices of the narrators adding a new dimension to their works.
The discussion and storytelling were seamlessly guided in two languages by Suzana Tratnik and Biljana Žikić, who led the audience through the evening with ease and warmth. The conversation about the interplay between the voices of stories and interpretations provided insight into the creative processes and thoughts of the authors, making the event even more special.
The evening concluded with a relaxed gathering, where guests had the chance to exchange thoughts with the authors and project creators over delicious food and drinks. The atmosphere was filled with inspiration, demonstrating once again the power of literature to connect people and open doors to new worlds.
The evening at ŠKUC was unforgettable and served as a testament to the r diversity of the literary heritage of the Slavic space.
